World Poker Tour events take place once or twice per month, in most cases, throughout the year. Each event typically lasts four or five days, and sometimes three. World Poker Tour tournaments are hosted in numerous casinos around the world.

Other common stops include the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California.
